In 2014, Limerick was transformed into a living canvas as it took on the title of Ireland’s first National City of Culture. This exhibition is a retrospective exploration of that vibrant year, through the lens of street photography, capturing the essence of a city in creative bloom. These images document the dynamic interactions of people, places, and moments, revealing the raw beauty and diversity that defined Limerick during this pivotal time. This exhibition is more than a recollection; it is a tribute to Limerick’s spirit of resilience, creativity, and community. Through these images, I invite viewers to re-experience the energy of 2014, to feel the pulse of the streets, and to witness how culture breathed new life into the heart of the city.
